Backing up your seed phrase

What is a seed phrase?

Your seed phrase (also called a recovery phrase or mnemonic) is a set of 12 words that acts as the master key to your wallet. Anyone who knows these words can access your funds.

Best practices for storage

• Write it on paper with a pen — do not type it digitally or take a screenshot.
• Store it in a fireproof, waterproof location (e.g., a safe).
• Make two copies and keep them in separate locations.
• Never share it with anyone — not even Morsel support.

Where to find your seed phrase in Morsel

1. Open Morsel and go to Settings.
2. Tap Security → Show Recovery Phrase.
3. Authenticate with your PIN or biometrics.
4. Write down each word in order.
